Young Investigator Award Submission Guidelines
The Young Investigator Awards are given to authors on the basis of innovation, originality and high impact on tissue banking and health care. The awards will hopefully encourage a high standard of research and scientific presentations among young scientists and surgeons.
The Prizes
A certificate and cash will be given to the winner.
Regulations
1. The competition is open to all young scientists and surgeons who are below 40 years old as on 1 January 2008.
2. The work submitted maybe from any related areas of tissue banking.
3. The bulk of the work which are submitted must be performed by the author himself/herself.
4. The author himself/herself should present the paper at the World Congress on Tissue Banking in June 2008 if the paper is selected for the finals.
5. The author must submit a signed declaration of his/her age, that his/her paper has not been published elsewhere and the presenter has done most of the work.
Procedure
1. A copy of the completed paper and an abstract must be submitted via online or email to wctb08@gmail.com or airmail to the Congress Secretariat. If you are sending via airmail, please send a 3.5” diskette or Compact Disc(CD) containing the completed paper and an abstract together with the Young Scientist Award Submission Form. The closing date is 29 February 2008.
2. The scientific committee shall assess the papers submitted and to be presented at the World Congress on Tissue Banking.
3. The shortlisted papers will be presented by the authors at the special session of the World Congress on Tissue Banking in June 2008.
4. A panel of three judges shall decide on the winner after all the shortlisted papers have been presented.
5. The judges’ decision is final and the award shall be presented during the closing ceremony. |
