Abstract Submission Guidelines
The Scientific Committee welcomes the submission of abstracts for consideration for presentation at the congress.
The Abstract Form must be completed and returned to the Secretariat, along with the Registration Form and the necessary fees before15th March 2008.
Presentation could be in the form of:
General guidelines for submission of abstracts
- No limit is imposed on the number of abstracts submitted by individuals.
- Abstracts are to be submitted in English only.
- Abstracts must be accompanied by payment of registration fees. If the abstract is subsequently not accepted for presentation, and the author wishes to cancel his participation, the registration fee will be refunded to the author.
- Scheduling details and guidelines for the final preparation of accepted presentations will be included with the notification of acceptance.
- The final selection will be the responsibility of the Scientific Committee.
Where appropriate, the abstracts should contain the following:
- A statement of the objectives of the study.
- A description of the methods used.
- A summary of the results obtained.
- A statement of the conclusions reached.
Instructions for preparation of abstracts:
The entire abstract including title, author(s) and text should be confined to one A4 page and justified.
The text should not exceed 300 words. Please use Arial 11 font for typing. Use the Microsoft Words format.
The title of the paper should be centred and printed in bold, UPPER CASE letters. Leave two blank lines and then enter the author names.
Leave one line and then type affiliation(s) of author(s) following the names. Use superscript numbers to identify authors with particular institutions. A maximum of four authors can be listed. Underline the name of the author who is the presenter. Do not write degrees or professional titles.
Leave two blank lines and then begin the body of the text. In typing the body of the abstract, please ensure that it is single-spaced and that the start of each paragraph is not indented. Each paragraph should be separated by one blank line.
Abstracts of all invited, submitted oral and poster papers of the World Congress will be compiled and copies are made available to all registered delegates at the beginning of the Congress.
To facilitate the preparation of the Abstract Book, the Organising Committee would appreciate the cooperation of all authors preparing abstracts to adhere to the given format.
